Flagstone Sauvignon Blanc Free Run

Pale lemon-green with pronounced thiol esters of gooseberry and blackcurrant leaf, lifted tropical fruits with a sea-salt and fresh herb element. Bracing acidic entry, the wine has a sinewy feel and edgy texture that works in harmony with the thiols and tropical fruit notes. Fresh and clean, the wine has good focus and length with a nettle twist on the long finish. Smart wine that is looking great right now, focussed.

Light green Pronounced aromas of gooseberry, tropical fruit and a definite New-Zealand-esque stylistic. Plenty of fruit on entry with flesh offset with a tingling acidity. Lacks a bit of weight and was shorter than expected as it fell away on the back palate. A straightforward example of Sauvignon Blanc, the nose was the most enticing part.
