A bit of age has given this weeknight bev more than a touch of class. “Classic GSM” comes to mind. And there’s life left; too bad there are no more bottles in my cellar, though.

This opens with a strong tobacco and boysenberry mouthful of fruit with layers of strawberry juice that unfold into a medium polished finish. Hints of grey smoke and black pepper on the nose. A hate to use the descriptor “great second wine” but this is a fabulous wine in and of itself at an affordable price. Grab some and lay it down for a couple of years and you will be richly rewarded! Nose of red fruit, plums, Palate plums, raspberries, vanilla, green apple (Yes) tobacco. Nice balance of tannin and acid This is a good wine, not great.

This is a crowd pleaser of a wine for sure. Lots of delicious berry fruit with some oak influence and vanilla sweetness on the finish. Really enjoyable and paired surprisingly well with grilled salmon. Drink now - 2029.

Popped and poured. GPR stands for "Glass Pour Red", and it makes a great weekday sipper. 56% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 4% Mourvedre. Flavors of huckleberry and blackberry, oak and vanilla. Still a touch on the young side, so expect it to get even better with another year of bottle age. Drink now - 2024.
