Color: Transparent ruby. Nose: Quite subtle. Somewhat fruity, some wild herbs. Mouth: Rather simple. It is pleasant though. Pomegranate, cherries and a hint of oranges. Don't drink this wine too cold. RT is just fine (18-20°C). I like that it is a tight wine and there is a nice grip from the tannins. Bought at Denner.

The wine looks ruby colored. It smells like red currant and cherry. The body is light/medium. The wine has bright texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has high acidity. Seem to need quite a lot of aeration. The last pour on the second day tasted best. Worth a try, but unlikely to repeat.

With home-made sausage pizza and salad. Dull ruby, medium depth. Nose: generic fruit, blueberry, touch of cherry. Palate: bitter, dry, acid, light tannin, some black pepper in background. OK - drinkable. Equivalent to a decent box wine. For $10 what do you want?

Tasting pour. There's been some hype about this wine around town lately. I have to say, I'm not really seeing what the fuss is about. It struck me as a merely serviceable $10 to $11 bottle of wine or a $10-12 glass in a restaurant. Fairly typical CdR, pleasant, but not remarkable at the price point for me. Dark fruit, pepper, medium body, didn't really hit me in an old world way either.

Paired this wine with duck cassoulet and sarladaise potatoes. Great wine for this price point, a very decent CdR.

Typically mass wine - accommodating, simple but not bad - good to drink cool in summer with grillades

Ruby with lighter rim, clear and shiny. Nose: fresh fruits - plums, blueberries. Quite strong. Taste: succulent but bit hot, tannins present. Nice and simple. Anyway not as good as in 2011.

I normally love Cotes du Rhone. It's my go-to characterful, tasty, affordable, authentic vin de table. But this is truly dreadful. Cheap oak, fake sweet fruit, industrial saccharine smoothness. Nasty stuff.

Lots of spicy oak, soft tannins and extracted but not that sweet fruit. Fresh on the palate with nice acidity, some cherries and herbs. Absolutely a good wine within its price range.
