Deep golden in color. Nose of caramel apple, orange blossom, grilled lemon, and pineapple. Very tart on entry with even more tartness on the finish. Flavors of lemon, grapefruit, and green apple.

Nothing beats a vacation day afternoon bottle of bubbly. Served with salty snacks, this was a touch sweeter than our usual fare, but worked with the snacks. Clear red fruit notes, and a rich finish, I would not go out of my way for more in its price range (too much other stuff that is better for less) but I won’t complain about having the bottle from my dad’s cellar.

Honey golden in color. Nose of honey, yeast, brioche, and lemon. Lots of tart green apple and honey. A bit of apricot and grapefruit. Extreme tartness thought the entire palate that lingers.

Lovely sparkling Chardonnay! Delicate lemon curd balanced with just the right minerality. Perfect with Sushi on National Champagne Day (and yes, it's not Champagne, strictly speaking, but it'll do very nicely!)

Much more balanced than the 2010. Still quite tart, but not overwhelmingly so. Toasted almonds on the nose. A little brioche. Some lime/citrus in the mouth. A very good sparkling wine, but low on my list of Schramsberg bubbles.
