Karo-Kann Red Wine Napa Valley

This was a fabulous wine for the price. PnP. Opened up after an hour, but even good straight out of the bottle. I always look for value in wine, and this is a great value. Bought at a 20% off sale at Wine Access for $22, so normal price about $28. I bought the reserve from the same producer and vintage and can't wait to taste it!

Nice wine. Given QPR and the potential I think this makes for a great weeknight pour. Nice nose, dark fruit and hints dark cherry. Better day two, so I would say give it some air and given a little more time to better integrate maybe a 90 down the road. Should cellar for another 5-6 years, but good to go now with some air.

Needs time. Dark fruits and vanilla but not yet well integrated. At $15 already a very good value but should be better with more time in the bottle.

Dark black purple and somewhat murky. Cherry, vanilla and cedar on the nose. Dry with medium tannin. Cherry and tobacco notes. Very good QPR at $15 a bottle.

Needs 2-3 hour decant
