Much too young. A rather reserved and ungiving wine right now, even with a nice bavette. There's good quality here in its style but would wait for 4-5 years.

Book Release Wine Dinner-“The New French Wine” (The Morris, San Francisco) : Deep ruby. All olive! Medium weight with quite a bit of sappiness. Earth, blueberry, excellent acidity, and a tannic/soil finish that is somewhat coarse feeling. That said, impressive young wine with real grip.

What a great wine. Beautiful and elegant nose with bell pepper, cassis, violet and old wood/cedar. Light but with a very good presence on the palate. Integrated tannins, nice structure. A hint of chocolate, graphite with again the same aromatics than the nose. Very pretty wine drinking very well. 12.5% ABV 70% Tannat, 30% Cab Sauv.
