Mediterranean Cellars Penteli

Another wine for which I should have taken notes! Red grape blend done as a port wine. Highlights from memory: moderately sweet, balanced with acidity nicely, deep red fruit predominating, baking spices, and just a bit of a tannic bite. Paired with coconut ice cream, baked ripe plantains, and sweet mango slices. The fruit on the attack kept up with the dessert while the tannins helped to cut through the oiliness. Nice.
