Two weeks in France; 4/12/2024-4/24/2024 : From a bottle that has been cellared by a collector in France. Unfortunately completely shot, tasted like sherry.

Light toasty reduction, so fresh, weighty, acidity striking a great balance for this vintage. Perfectly rich. Great wine. 93-94

Mildly exotic on the nose with some paw paw and rockmelon. It has a little honey and white mushroom development. There’s a light smokiness and the wine is full and relatively low of acidity. It is drinking right in the zone right now.

Holding up quite nicely. Nice acidity and fruit with some aged notes. At peak and a long plateau.

Beautiful wine. Rich and ripe but with acidity to balance it out perfectly. Layers of flavor but still light on its feet. Chard at its best.

At first sniff it smells a little nutty and advanced but it is not. It tightens considerably in the glass and whilst has the opulence and low acid feel of the vintage is still a fresh and vibrant wine. You get notes of honeysuckle and sappy white peach coupled with the lemon and mineral that you tend to always see in Roulot (unless of course you can’t identify with lemon and mineral aromas and flavours or can but never see …

On release this wine had quite a bit of honeysuckle on the nose. The suckle has gone and now its just honey, along with white peach and fig notes. It is generous and full in the mouth with some almond butter mixing it up with ripe orchard fruits. It has good tension for the vintage and finishes with a light squeeze of grapefruit. Perfect drinking right now.

Drinking very well, nice nose of apple and vanilla spice. Good fruit and not too soft, decent acidity. Really yummy.

Truly delicious - fruit forward but enough acidity to be balanced. Subtle with no sharp edge...a really stunning example of a meursault.

Served in same flight as 99 Latour CC and 04 Leflaive PM Clavollon. Most people fooled that this was Meursault. A bit of matchstick. Medium body, more elegant style. Tropical fruit. Perhaps it could use a bit more acid, but probably a function of the vintage.

Served as a replacement for a premoxed 99. Still very young, brightly so and with a touch too much baby fat, or '06 fat really. Still with the maker, it is focused and clean, with prominent wood that integrates to show nice citrus and stony- nuttiness. Lacks some focus, but the parts are nice. This is a very well made wine from a year I am not loving. Still too young. Not sure it will ever be great. Maybe I …

Brass yellow in colour this opulent white remains elegant with all the richness of aromas as golden apple, acacia and vanilla linger under a frame of notes of oak. Rich and complex, full in body showing a great balance, very well integrated oak, ripe yellow fruit, added flavours of apricot. Long, tasty finish.

Showed better than a few months ago. Beautiful balance, more minerality than in the previous bottles. Still ripe fruits and again a hint of exotic fruits, apple, but this is focused and delicious. Was awesome match with our muenster souffle. Bottle was gone in record time, always a good sign!

Un po' legnoso, però pieno di polvere da sparo, grafite, matita, cera d'api, acido ma poco sapido. Certamente giovanissimo.

Honey and nutty notes on the nose along hints of exotic fruits. Med body, low + acidity but managed to stay focused and balanced with a long finish. Overall, true to Roulot style but show a little bit the heat of the vintage in its acidity. Not as much minerality as usual in Roulot wines.

Dinner at Caveau des Arches with Scott and Elise. This was a great pairing with our huitres. Nose of citrus and white flowers. Almost tangerine like. Mouth was full of minerals and a drop of honey. Nice wine.

Medium yellow. Hard to get past the reduced, high oak aromatics. Little fruit obvious underneath. I don't think so.
