In a good drinking window with tannins settled and each sip changing some cherry flavors faded into italian earth followed by much more intense fruit after about 30 minutes I did not ask but suspect this was decanted earlier in the evening Went well with irish corned veal cheek at NoMI but there was a left hand milk stout also served that was a better pairing with this dish This made me curious about the 2000 baroli in the basement …

Tydelig murstensferget kant, avbleket rød i midten. Nydelig nese av lagringsaromaer, blå frukt og rød frukt som kirsebær. Flott nese. Lagring, mørke blå bær og fikentoner i munn. Modnet tanniner. Pepper. Medium-lang.

Another Saturday at Knightsbridge - mostly blind (Northbrook, IL) : Tasted double blind. Nice floral start, showing rose petals, baking spice and red fruit. Same red cherry on palate, forward and slightly advanced for 2000 Barolo. Good young drinking Barolo.
