Château Corbin St. Émilion Grand Cru

Noble! What an improvement after 4 years I tasted it for the first time. Matured to still fresh, but much more mineral driven, more graphite, salinity. Still very fresh dark red fruit. Medium body, solid acidity, long dry finish. Structure and depth. Refined and smooth without feeling of being over polished. In perfect condition and no trace of tiredness.

Light in color, the medium bodied wine is already showing its truffle, tobacco, thyme, espresso and red fruit character. On the palate, the wine is probably close to mature, with a dusty, crisp, bright, fresh, sweet and tart red berry finish..

Sehr lecker. zunächst Kirsch und Waldfrüchte, dann immer mehr Süße und Schokolade. Hat viel Spaß gemacht. 1h dekantieren.

Appealing spice on the nose with a dusty palate full of dry soil notes, blackberry and restrained wood.

Easy, but stylish. Earthy dry tannins, medium body, round. Restraint fruit, good energy, good volume, pleasant mouthfeel. Medium finish, clean. No need to rush.

Commanderie de Bordeaux tasting/dinner. Medium garnet. Nose of cassis, chocolate and sweet cherries with some earth. Soft and pleasant mid palate. Very drinkable and a well done Merlot for this price.

Lots of fruits, blackberries. Subtle and round oak. medium to full body. Very elegant and fine.

Light weighted. Elegant style. Nice daily wine for me...

Einfacher, gefälliger St. Emilion ohne Ecken und Kanten. Kräftige rote Merlot-Frucht in der Nase, aum Gaumen etwas diffuse Kirschnoten, (noch) keine Sekundäraromen, kaum Säure, wenig Tannine, mittlere Statur. Angenehm zurückhaltende Vanille im Abgang, nach ca. einer Stunde an der Luft zeigte sich etwas zaghafte Schokolade. Am nächsten Tag stark oxidiert. Lieber heute als morgen trinken.

Bordeaux 2008 (Bordeaux) : Lovely nose, very fresh. Shows fine lift on the palate: not a warm palate, but a giving palate, with fine tannins. Ripe, red fruit and toasty, well incorporated oak-derived notes on the finish. This is one to seek out! 90-93
