Better after 3d, w Coravin Pivot. Must’ve needed a decant originally. Easily balanced the Lamb Chops. Very solid; robust for a burgundy, but very enjoyable.

Very delicate and pleasant. Drank with Grilled Salmon but not a good match, too soft.

Light, elegant and floral. Bright red cherry fruit, with lifted mineral palate. After about 30mins, the palate gains more depth to show more layered red fruit and light spice while still remaining near weightless. Absolutely delicious, this went very quickly.

Similar to my tasting note from one week prior. I brought this wine because it was drinking so great before. This is the best expression of Morey St. Denis that I have had. Hubert Lignier is a great producer. Young, but oh so delicious.

This is a fantastic Morey St. Denis from Hubert Lignier, even in its youth. After about 30 min open in bottle and a good swirl in the glass this opens up as an expressive bouquet of red strawberry, bing cherry, underbrush, mushroom, and minerals with some green stem. Silky smooth tannin. Light in its feet but vibrant. If it is this good now, what will it be like in 5-10 years?

Nez très expressif, aux arômes de griotte, d'épices et de musc. La bouche montre une grande élégance . Corps généreux, tannin tendu, vin riche, très équilibré. La finale est racée, saline. Un délice

Clear red. Interesting aromas of active limestone, blue fruits and plums. The mouth is utterly elegant, silky, very chambolle at first but the finish is definitely Morey, firm and long. This plot usually delivers generous fruit, open to go. It will gain weight and will be perfect in 5 years down the road.

Côte de Nuits Tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany) : Glass: Zwiesel Sensory Burgundy Wine opened and decanted 1-2h before the tasting. Tasted blind. Clear, medium-deep ruby, purple reflexes. Clean, dense, a bit rough nose, reductive. Fine red fruit, spicy, elegant, good balance, fresh, good length. Really nice. 91-92

Superb. Clean strawberry, a little forest floor, lightest of the Lignier I've tried. Easy drinking, lovely to linger.
