Dumped it

Ruby red, almost deep purple in appearance, with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Aroma of plums and light plum flavor with almost no aftertaste or alchohol burn.

Tastes like freezer burned plastic

Good flavour but unfortunately couldn't get over a metallic taint (perhaps Brett) even after three hours of decanting

Simple Zin that is less like a Zin than a Syrah without much stuffing. Black cherry aromas. Cherry flavors with a raspberry jam finish. Will try again tomorrow and see if it's gained some weight.

Light fruit, smooth and little tannin

Popped and poured. Medium to dark ruby-purple. Nose of bramble fruits, vanilla bean, plum, and a touch of cinnamon graham cracker with an herbaceous edge. Noticeable alcohol too. Medium body. The palate is certainly introduced quickly to the ripe fruit that is complimented by an interesting note of green that adds depth along with the notes of black licorice, soy and spices. Chunky tannins. Heat on the finish detracts. Good effort, at $8.50 qualifies as a QPR if you can …

medium purpe colored. lots of red licorice on the nose. soft, almost non-existent tannins. strawberries and twizzler pull and peel (the strawberries and cream flavor, to be exact) with just a hint of smoke. $9, so i'm not overanalyzing. this is a wine for downing with a cheap burger.

This may have fared a bit better with nicer stems, but it was surprisingly much better than previous vintages that we've had of this - Dark, well concentrated with notes of plum, bramble, spice and oak on the nose, decent structure, smooth on the palate with good length, nice QPR (88 Points).
