Pale rim, red with dark core Stewed fruit, floral, Herby, clean no off notes Very supple, just a little tannin Still plenty of fruit and freshness, invigorating acidity Some leather, good length Mellow and probably at peak but certainly not declining

good, solid 2007 CdR...not too much heat like many 2007's are now showing.

Excellent value and a solid wine. Not as over the top as many 07 CdR's. Nice earthiness with cherries, plum, lavender and leather showing through. Should continue drinking well for the next couple of years.

Very Rhonish on the powerful nose, with earthy cherries, plums and lavender the main impressions. Medium bodied on the palate, with still a few tannins at the back end, and the grenache dominating right now. There's earthy notes, a hint of leather (OK, maybe the mourvedre showed up), but mainly plums, cherries and red licorice. Dark ruby color. Closed when first opened but after an hour or so it started to open up into a bright and cheery nose with some nice fruit aromas. Hitting its full stride now with enough fruit flavour and tannin to last into the near term.

Très, très bien. Arômes complexes, cuir etc., belle longueur, assez frais, bel équilibre, un délice. Faut racheter.

Probably the best mass produced 2007 CdR Villages I have tasted. Drinking it in year 5, it is not really a young wine, but the color is still retaining that youngish purple hue. However, it is on the verge of turning to that nice faded ruby color. Lots of dark berry flavors mixed with delicate earthy spice notes. Still a bit too acidic, but this will probably mellow in the next year or so. I bought a case, next thing …

A more serious wine than the Plan de Dieu; more earth and herbs and spiciness. Ripe red fruits. Some sweetness. Tannin with a good bite. Good length in the finish. A really nice wine. Probably best between now and 2015.

Nice notes of game and grilled meat followed by distinct Shitake mushroom, hints of smoke and dark cherry. Very well laid out wine. Yummy.
