Petrussa Schioppettino di Prepotto

This bottle was similar to one in '17 but definitely fuller. Very enjoyable.

Classic Schioppettino nose of peppercorn flowers. The body was initially very thin, but bulked up throughout the evening. Still never reached the level I hoped but nice nonetheless with nice dark fruit flavors and smooth tannins.

Medium weight. Good blackberry fruit and acidity. Intriguing smokiness without a lot of tannin. Interesting varietal and great with ham and white bean soup.
