Tiny bit past its prime, but still quite enjoyable.

Disappointing - lacked much depth or fruit and seemed a bit bitter. May be past its prime

Showing a nice vibrant ruby core, with aromas of freshly squashed blackberries. On the tongue the flavors of the old world are present but hiding behind that is a nice ripeness showing its Origin of the '05 Vintage. Cherries, Dark Chocolate, Touches of Cedar, a dash of Ripe Vegetables. Drink Now to 2012

C: Deep Ruby, Clear A: Clean, Med- Intensity, Youthful Woodsy, Stem, Dark Cassis, "Creamy" T: Dry, Med Acid, Med Tannin, med body, med intensity, med+ finish Cassis, Oak Influence[balanced], Cherry/Raspberry Conclusion: Seemed a little "flat" at first, felt like lacking acidity balance, but with steak and grilled veggies it worked, wine was good, you can tell it a Cru Bourgeois, and did well during the 2005 season

A mini version of the Haut Batailley from the same vintage. Just lacks the class and structure. Good herbal fruits and furry tannins.

Had this Back in Dec. 2008, Needed more time was way off balanced. Had another bottle recently and its fantastic tho the Tannins are still way to young to drink, but the fruit and all that good stuff is coming through but tannins need a couple of years to mellow out

Thin, watery, very little hint of any fruit. This wasn't a corked bottle, just a bad wine.
