Here I am again nearly 12 months after the last bottle. Enclosure is still a screw cap :). Pale garnet. Med intensity on the nose. Earthy tertiary notes on the nose with spice, vanilla, cherry, red fruit, maybe some strawberry. Becoming jammy. All promising. On the palate the body is med(+), intensity pronounced, high acidity and med(fine) tannin. A long finish, carried by acidity and a disappointing slight bitterness. Needs drinking imho, so lucky me!

ABV: 14.0%. I've never had a Chilean Pinot Noir with this kind of bottle age (approximately 13-years-old) and I was very impressed. The nose was somewhat muted upon opening, but slowly opened up after about 45 minutes. What caught me off guard was how lively this wine was on the palate. Despite the lack of bouquet, this wine is a party in the mouth with herbs, spices, red fruits, and good acidity to keep everything lively. In addition to the …

Screw cap enclosure. Pale garnet. Low intensity nose yeilding sweet spice, vanilla, cedar, red fruit jam, smoke, cherry, strawberry, leather. So tertiary notes are developing. Med body, dry, med(+) tannin, med(+) intensity, med(+) acidity. It’s complex and drinking well depending on how your like your PN. The balance is slightly off: the tannins are a bit grippy and obvious. The finish seems to run in tandem with acidity - that said, it’s got decent length. Maybe slightly past its best, …

A little darker in color than some, but nose of red fruit, some minerality and savoriness, along with some herbs and spice. The palate is juicy with lots acidic zip, but there’s also a savory side to it with some spice and mint. https://winediplomats.com/

Silky, earthy, black cherry, supple cranberry, and lovely acidity with a long finish touched by spice which mingles with the acidity to make this an awesome wine at any age.

Bonne valeur.

Lighter red color. A little hot when first tasted but smooths itself out after half an hour. Lacks that varietal Pinot smokiness. Pleasant but probably not worth the price.

Sour cherry notes. Bit of bacon. Wild herbs. Leather. Soft juicy palate. Nicely integrated tannic structure. The juicy fruit holds through to the finish, which is quite long. For one that was under £10 when bought in April 2010 this is excellent value.

WES - Pinot Noir (LSE Holbourn) : Medium intense. Quite garnet. Not so bright. (hic) alcohol dominated nose. Spice, pepper and almost black fruit. Rich, fruity peppery palate. Better balanced than the nose would lead you to believe. Warm finish.

Very interesting and unique. Straight up aromas of sour patch kids, no doubt. Bright cherry fruit on the palate with a lot of herb action and minerality. There is also a noticeable sense of hairspray and chlorine.

PA Wine Talk Number 16 - Wines from South America (Bigelow Grille - Pittsburgh) : Medium red in color and weight. Lots of dark fruit on the nose, followed in the mouth by more blackberry and black cherry, a bit of vanilla and some spice. Nice QPR.

From the wine list at Ristorante El Mestizo, in Santiago. Remarkable difference to 'west coast norm': this is not a fruit bomb. Cherry in the nose, but also woods, forest floor. Solid, but unspectacular wine. Absence of sweetness a plus. Too dark for a visual. short finish.

Intense. Definitely new world Pinot. Nose of cherries and roasting meat juices. Savoury & earthy; a tad herbal. Yet also has some sweet creamy vanilla notes. Ripe sweet fruit flavours, but with that savoury meaty character persisting through the finish.

nice light and fresh pinot. decanted for 2 hours color: cola brown edges, light red nose: herbs and floral notes, pencil lead with blackcurrant in the backend and a rubber component is also present. palate: licorice and black tea, wet grass and minerals, a little tight and not as smooth and round as I would prefer. an exiting new world pinot at a very good price range but still not sure I would buy it again. . . Quite intense red berry fruit on the nose - esp. strawberry. Very nice herbal hints, red liquorice and mushroomy nuances. As well as some mocha notes. Medium bodied with soft tannins and mid-level acidity. Slightly effervescent just after popping. Sweet cherry fruit with some welcomed tart red berries underneath. Liquorice, slight earthy nuances and chocolaty oak. Medium length with some heat from the 14,5% abv. This is surprisingly good for the price point. New World -like sure, but in a …
