PnP that was quite excellent from the first to the final sip. Plenty of mineral, chalk, and bright orchard fruit to admire here. To my palate, it's got pitch-perfect balance, length and freshness. My first time with this wine, and one I'll be on the lookout for in the future. 12,5% abv.; 1005 Chardonnay. highly recommended

At first a little bit muted red fruits With some more temperature it slowly opens up. Shows a decent fruit flavor but not so integrated with a rather bitter finish On the next day much more open, luckily. Pleasant medium cherry profile with good juiciness. Now fruit sweetness nicely bolstered by some oaky body. The only downside here are the bubbles, which are somewhat distracting like a wave of foam. It also seems particularly sensitive to the right temperature. A …

For Martin, my new nephew, made by @Oddmund Lunestad 😃 1884bottles produced. BdB. Smell of brioche, citrus and green apples. Dry. Fresh and stingy acidety. Nice bubbles. Cellar apples and citrus on the palate. Butter and minerals. Long exit, with citric bitterness. Just delicious! 🍾

Golden rose color. The bead is plentiful, fine and vigorous. Lovely raspberry fruit with a touch of Golden Delicious apple. Just enough acidity to balance with the fruit. Finishes a bit tart, long and cleansing. Absolutely lovely and graceful. 92% Chardonnay and 8% Pinot Noir.

(Probably from the early 1990s, 100% Chardonnay) Golden yellow colour with a lovely maturing nose showing butterscotch, lime flowers and a nuttiness that makes perfection. Palate has a lovely lime citrus acidity combined with a nuttiness and a lengthy balanced finish showing red apples and a touch of acacia honey sweetness. The intensity is so delicious and shows what Cote de Blanc champagne is all about.

The nose shows lemon zest and a savory note. Very fine, plentiful bead. Melon on the palate with a bit of lemon and a hint of anise. Crisp acidity. Finishes long and crisp. Hard to pin down the flavor profile for some reason, Very nice, not great.

Beautiful BdB with creamy mousse and onctuous mouthfeel. Lemon meringue with a bit of chalk. Can’t find at my local store anymore, that’s a shame...

Champagnegängets andra träff (Södermalm (hos @ettofotose)) : (Disgorged in June 2017, 100% Chardonnay from Grand Cru Côte des Blancs, base year 2014 with 15% reserve, dosage 2.5 gr/l) A bit tight on the nose at first focused on Granny Smith apples, opens up with extended glass time with hazelnuts and lovely minerals and raspberries in a very pleasant way. Palate is very tight, showing some green apples acidity only. This should reward extended cellar time as it reveals layers of …

Champagne Trip- Day 2 (tasting at the Club Tresors de Champagne) (Reims, Champagne, France) : Nose: The nose is lively, fresh, and absolutely gorgeous with green apples, lemon peels, limes, white fruits, pears, crushed rocks, white florals, vanilla, biscuits, warm dough, and some saline notes. There is very good depth and expression that really draws you in. Taste: The feel is medium bodied with crisp, high acidity. There is a lot of freshness and depth on the palate with green …

@BYOB blind tasting (Disgorged in May 2015, 100% Chardonnay from Côte des Blancs, dosage 5 gr/l) Maturing notes on the nose showing yellow apples, butter and cream at first. With extended time in the glass it shows a lovely butterscotch note as well. Very good palate showing green apples acidity at first and with a bit short and thin finish. But when allowed to warm up a bit it broadens out a bit with hints of ginger and leaving a …

At Post Family Resort in Unken/Austria. 2014 base, bottled on 29 July 2015, disgorged on 27 June 2017, dosage of 2.5 g/l. The wine was light to medium yellow-gold in colour, with medium-intense, very fine perlage. It offered floral notes, apple, citrus, smoke, biscuit and brioche on the nose and palate, with fine, creamy mousse, fresh acidity and superb length of the grapefruit bitter finish. Harmonious. Great stuff!

Now this is the best Pertois Moriset yet, of the few I have had. An excellent Grand Cru Blanc de Blanc not just for the price, but overall. My score is probably conservative (from Caveau: Two-thirds is from their parcels in Mesnil-sur-Oger, one-third from their vines in neighboring Oger). Very nicely balanced, minerality with oodles of fresh citrus, some apple and pear. Very fresh, very refreshing. Quite highly recommend. Also from Caveau: 25% was barrel fermented, the balance in tank. …

Another good Pertois Moriset. This one 100% Grand Cru, 92% Côtes des Blancs Chardonnay and 8% red wine of Pinot Noir from Bouzy at a super nice price point for the quality of the fruit. Not a wow wine, to be clear, but good quality and enjoyable, goes well with a number of foods or on its own. 3 g dosage. Nicely crisp, good body.

Aromas of pears, lemon curd, baked apple, sourdough bread and bright flowers. Bright acidity on the palate but plump texture. Lemon zest meets baked apples, mixed with bread dough, sea salt, chalk dust, some honey and ginger. Surprising depth and complexity for a $30 Champagne.

...ok for the money. As much as I like the chalky minerality of Mesnil, ideally there is some fruit to compliment it. Seemed lacking here...definitely best as food pairing, not as an apertif.

Fine bubble mousse, creaminess on entry, nice nose. Lingering ginger flavor with citrus background (citrus does not dominate). Good balance. Above average finish. The measure of any white wine (or ale) is whether it is good warm ... this is good. As a previous reviewer said ... this is not a gamechanger, quality versus price. It is worth buying. Personally, I think it simply needs age, better if old wines had been used, i.e. aged longer. Whether it would benefit …

A rich golden color, especially for a lower middle market NV champagne. Good bubble structure, fine in size and of abundance. Nose is interesting; umami, double cream, Brie cheese rind, slight blue cheese, faintness of pastry, ginger, and an underlying citrus (lemon). Clean taste, great bubble structure. Mild flavor with strong grapefruit rind and lemon on the pallet. No butteriness, classic chalkiness, or any depth on the palate. Finish is sharp citrus/acid with a short/medium length. For the price a …

Lovely light golden color with decently long legs and fine pearls. Incredible aroma of vanilla, pastry, lemon and some orange, and (weirdly enough) a hint of sushi. Creamy texture in the mouth, with notes of toast and peaches. A long finish with an unfortunate slight sour note, but nevertheless a beautiful Champagne with a great QPR. This producer is making some magical wine.

Munskänkarna Göteborg Champagne Class, session 7, flight I Smokey nose, very mineral-driven with stonedust, a touch of citrus. High acidity, nice apple fruit, mostly green, a herbacious feeling as well, slightly bitter. Might need time. If you buy I would recommend you to wait 2 years Before you drink this one.

Lemon pastry and bread dough on the nose. On the palate is brighter than expected, beginning with fresh squeezed lemon and showing more of the yeasty characteristics on the mid palate. The acidity is pretty high; better with appetizers than for a toast.

Nice color. The nose shows almost tropical citrus fruits, mineral, and a hint of candied ginger. This is light bodied on the palate, with a creamy aspect to the fruit. There is good finesse, but a slight lack of concentration evident here. The finish shows a resounding mineral element and a slight lack of fruit.

Opened in Florida with Emilio. This house owns 18ha primarily in the Cote de Blancs. This was also labelled Grand Reserve. 100% Chardonnay from the Cote de Blancs. This was richer than I expected. Notes of citrus fruit, yeast and cranberries. Moderate bead. 91 points.

Bright medium(-) salmon color with large and quite persistent bubbles. Clean medium intensity of developing aromas. Full of autolytic yeast and lees with butter and chalky strawberry aromas Palate is aggressive off-dry with high acidity showing some tannins also. Alcohol level is medium but warming and with medium body and length only carried by acidity and alcohol( the fruit disappearing pretty fast). Flavor intensity is medium low and watery. Red fruits(red currant & strawberry) with a grassy vibe. Overall: Quality …

Simply breathtaking! Straw/gold in the glass, inviting nose of yeast and ripe green apple, with some spice. Bountiful flavors of ripe green apple, pear, baking spices, and something I can simply describe as "sweet grapefruit without the grapefruit acidity." Highly acidic, but light on it's feet, and the flavor intensity makes the wine balance quite nicely. The finish is amazingly long. This is a great reason to look for RM (récoltant-manipulant -- grower-maker) Champagne; a hidden artisan gem amongst the …

WIML88 Tasted August 13, 2008 at an offline. Opened and served immediately. Pink color in the glass, clear hue throughout with full beading. Nose of berries, raspberries and a bit of dustiness. Flavors of black cherries, raspberries and berries. Medium acidity and body. Drink over the short term. Not a bad little rose.
