Todd’s wine. Clear and beautiful. Color went from orange to the lightest of red. Nose is earthy, and chock full of colorful fruits, iron, inside and out! Fruit in mouth is orange and strawberry, sweet, with pretty mineral. Lovely and light!!! 96

Poured into the glass as a very light pink/copper colour. Elevated acid. Initially thought this was defective but luckily put the cork back in. On revisiting eight hours later the wine is still very pale but I’m getting a definite orange peel in the palate. Quite unusual but I don’t think this is faulty, just different! I’ll upload a photo of the colour.

A bit VA but super delicious, rarely a cuvee focused on high acidity. Very vertical. Unique one in the rayas family.

Seductive red fruit aromatics with hints of dried herbs. Rayas derived pallet, red with faint med herbs finishing with a touch of liquorish. Juicy. Wine grew with more air, went down too fast. Kept growing till the last sip.

Again more bottle variation. Where other bottles seemed ~15 years old, this one feels 5. Much more primary, more structured, less elegant. It's a nice bottle of wine but lacking the magic that other bottles had. Wish I had left this one alone for 5 more years.

Light red, almost translucent, with an orange hue. Expressive bouquet of flowers, raspberries, chalk. Light bodied, feminine, incredibly precise and cool. Long and sweet cherry and raspberry flavors, white pepper. En danseuse. Captivating, seductive. Just such a great, unique showing as always. An evening chez Johnny & Dorthe.

Tasting dinner in Paris. Consistent to my last tasting note. A little meager. I prefer the 2012.

Still one of the greatest and most unique wines ever. I will never tire of this. There is some bottle variation - some are a bit more complex than others.

Pours a transparent amber color, very light in body, with assertive acidity. Fully emblematic of the house style, the 2014 Pialade leads with angostura bitters and orange peel. Some detectable brett on the palate, it is bright, and maybe even a hair underripe as I found a very slight capsicum on the finish. To me this adds interest. It’s a vintage I’d buy again, but is really on the light end of the spectrum

It took ten years for me to like this. When it was released, the pink grapefruit overwhelmed an otherwise delicate wine. Now that has died down and you get ripe, crisp red fruit and a garden's worth of sage. Almost green, but not. Has the power of tea, i.e. light. Nice acid.

Definitely some bottle variation among these. The best versions are like aged rayas tea, this one is more like young rayas rose, if that makes any says. Merely very good, instead of great.

Opened, poured a bit and then recorked for 5-6 hrs. The color here is so light, light red with a copper tint. The nose here is great, which seems to be standard with these Reynaud wines. Initially I was a bit disappointed with the palate, but with air it filled out and was quite delicious and went down very quickly.

Consistent with previous note; super light red, grassy notes, strawberry, light and elegant, a “small” wine from a very good producer; completely likeable

Expressive nose as we know it from the Rayas stable, with strawberry and cinnamon spice. Surprisingly translucent color pointing to a very light wine. The palate confirms it. Light and even a touch acidic. 13.5% Alc. This could have benefitted from some more hanging time. LOL, I thought that I would never write such a verdict for a Southern Rhone wine. Nose 94, palate 90

Reynaud wine tasting, Pure Spirits (Gallina restaurant) : the bottle was opened and left uncorked for 24 hours, served in a Riesling glass -/- Very fragrant, spicy, fresh and dried versions of red cherries, currants, dried prunes, pomegranate, spicy and earthy, fine oak layers, some olive notes. With time you get more dried herbal notes lime chamomile, very elegant and welcoming Palate showing the same profile as the nose, dried raspberries, currants, cherries, med body, showing acidity, some thicker oak …

Easily as good as the last bottle. Gorgeous nose with alpine strawberries, red cherry, rose petal, and baking spices. Nice acidity with more strawberry notes, red berries, spices, and pomegranate. Nice finish. I can't imagine how good the 14 Rayas might be tasting this wine...

stemmy wine. here i get celery admixed with strawberry. lot of flavor, and in some ways reminded me of grappa (without the heat). savory. certainly gives a sense of Rayas. someone stated it was more like drinking an infusion rather than an extraction, which i think sums it up nicely.

A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Mostly blind, some double blind (Blacksalt, Washington DC) : Exotic nose displaying cherry liqueur, white pepper, spicy spices, cannabis and earth. Cannabis and white pepper make to guess Cayuse bionic frog initially. It is very Burgundian so I change my mind and am very certain it is Rayas. Really exotic nose displaying cherry liqueur, cherry compote, incense, cannabis, white pepper, tobacco, spicy spices and crushed rocks. Excellent concentration, very finely layers slightly dry cherry …

Great length, super fine tannins which make this very drinkable at a young age, although it has a persistent 'puckering' on the palate so you know the tannin is there which will keep this wine together for many years to come. Color is dark crimson, and fruit is primary with flavors of bush black fruit, a little spice. Great wine, love to try again with more age. As others have said, drinks more Burgundian than your usual southern rhone...not your …

2 hour slo-o. Similar to the ‘09 this is one of the best Cotes Du Rhone I have ever tasted. Gorgeous bright red translucent hue. Peppery palate with lovely pure fruit with superb balance, complexity and a lengthy finish. A wine with soul!

Grenache (with some syrah, cinsault...) like it should be. Cherry color, pale and transparant. Intense aroma's of jammy red fruit, peppery and spicy. Immediately strong taste, goes on to fill the mouth with its intense, juicy aroma's. But there is a freshness there that makes it truly extraordinary.

Nose - black pepper, garrigue, liquered cherry. A slight hint of funk Mouth - black pepper, fruit punchy, hint of fruit licorice, slightly bitter finish, nice enough but fully falling within the Côte de Rhone spectrum and not really approaching the pignan or rayas.

($23) Lightly colored, nose of tomatoes…suspect heavily Grenache based. Medium bodied, strawberry, zesty fruit. Moderate acidity which kicks up in the finish and takes on a lemony quality. Can't say I am particularly impressed. Is this supposed to make me want to taste some of the Rayas Chateauneuf? Come on, this light weight thing is barely worth bottling. Highly disgruntled
