A pure Sangiovese released after five years of aging, two of which are spent in new French oak barrels, in the luvly Siena. Quite fruity (cherries) on the nose with hints of herbs and spice. Medium-bodied, relatively soft and dry finish. A good wine, but far from a wow!

Frascati restaurant Mickleham (Dorking) with sister and other family members. Limited note taking. Floral dense cherry/bramble fruit with a touch of spice, earthiness with a dry finish. Medium to full bodied and with decent length. Very moorish - only three of us were drinking it and we polished off two bottles with lunch. Verging on the excellent 90pts. À point and for drinking over the next couple of years while at this level. Will seek out a more recent vintage …
