Plaisir garanti

Drank last nite with the Ramos in Copake. Such a great Italian white! I've had this wine many times before and notes are consistent. Lovely, generous nose of white fruit and flowers. Not as weighty as last time I tasted tho still with a viscous quality; & actually quite elegant. Still plenty of ripe fruit, some glycerine, honey, beeswax, a solid core of acidity and very enjoyable minerality. There's some citrus here, along with that ever-present tough of sweetness from …

Drank over lunch this weekend in Copake. Lovely, generous nose of white fruit and flowers. A bit heavier in weight than I recall, but not at all intruding on my enjoyment of this fine wine. Still plenty of ripe fruit, some glycerine, honey, beeswax, a solid core of acidity and very enjoyable minerality. There's some citrus here, along with that ever-present tough of sweetness from the Picolit grape that is part of this blend. This wine has aged really well, …

A Diverse Night of Italian Wines (Leonardo's, Solvang, CA) : Bottle age has paid off handsomely, with this exceeding my prior two samplings dramatically. A viscous, glycerined wine showing great complexity and depth of flavor. Floral nose. Notes of honeyed stone fruit and wax, with a rich mouthfeel and long finish.

One Fun-Filled Afternoon Spent Poolside with Friends (Los Olivos, CA) : I didn’t get to spend much time with this bottle, but the quick tastes I had confirmed for me that time continues to serve this wine very well. The crisp fruit is now complemented by a honeyed warmness, adding depth as well as texture. A bit clipped on the finish, but very enjoyable.

A huge improvement over my last bottle. Explosive nose, and a palate laden with stone fruit, honey, citrus and flowers. Only detractor is a slightly bitter finish, which was more prominent in the 2nd night.

This wasn't as good as it was a year ago. I understand the Tunina isn't a long ager, so I'm wondering if the 2010 is already in decline. Need to open another soon to compare.

My last of 4 bottles. Opened to ripe, white peach, then bitter grapefruit pith. Texture was waxy, with honeyed notes. Full bodied and structured. An interesting trajectory on this wine, unfortunately I now think less of this vintage at 7 years old. The wine had not developed much on the nose but had lost a lot of fruit (as well as its baby fat), while still having a very solid beam of acidity and a full texture. I am skeptical …

The combination of high acid and waxy full mouthfeel is quite beautiful. At once quirky and elegant. (Not sure this note helps anyone to buy this wine, but I'd sure buy it again)

apricot, honey, lawn clippings; yellow color, creamy texture, noticeable barrel component, yet has the acidity to cut through it all; a reliably strong, albeit expensive, Tunina

It took a good 20 minutes for a strange funk to blow off and the wine to settle down. Once that occurred, and as the temperature came up, the wine revealed a lovely complexity, exhibiting lemon oil, lemon zest, herbs and cut grass amongst the array of favors. Surprising depth for something quite clean in mouthfeel.

Wonderful, crisp yet massive northern Italian white. Deep and complex. Needs air and/or bottle rest, and be careful not to pour this too cold as it will slam closed. Tropical fruit, grass, limestone, pollen and kafir. Beautiful texture and long finish. 8-18-8-8

golden yellow nose - floral, mint, peach. enchanting nose mouth - complex interplay of pit fruit, floral, and minerality, with a trace of lemon on the backend. midpalate shows to me flavors of sakiz/mastic which while being unusual also gives the impression of sweetness. a nice marriage of richness and freshness.

Similar to the 09, my note is consistent with both vintages. Some citrus and yellow fruits on the nose, a bit tropical. As it opens you find some sweet lemon pith and grassy notes, then herbs and honey. Complex; hard to put my finger on it. The palate is fat for sure, but with balanced acidity and a beautiful slightly bitter finish. This wine always reminds me of good montrachet, but with an added dimension or two. Definitely not light, …

Drank at Blanco's beach house. Pale straw color, light bodied, nose of flowers & yellow fruits and citrus. Good acidity level, grassy with citrus notes, sweet, ripe fruit and fairly long finish, with a very pleasant touch of sweetness from the Picolit grape. A bit on the light side, but a wonderful quaffable summer wine that is a definite crowd pleaser. A bit expensive though for what it is.

Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istrian and Piccolit. I bet this wine, but I was disappointed. Not undrinkable; some might like, but the modern style, light sweetness and aroma a bit cloying did not please me. — em Ristorante Casabella Isola Pescatori Lago Maggiore

Fantastic finish. Excellent complexity - grassy, floral notes, bright fruits all intertwined. Needs time to open.

Light to medium golden with greenish hues. Rather intense nose of sweet and sour yellow fruit, flowers, some grassy notes. Med body, good intensity. Apples, backed apples, light bitterness on the palate. I wouldn't mind higher acidity definitely. Lemon peel and mineral aftertaste with good length.

At first the sauvignon dominates, but with time it opens up, great wine to meditate on

Medium light yellow colour with golden reflections. Nose of apricot, honey, and white flower. Full bodied and intense in palate with flavours of honey and and lemon. Long length aftertaste. A very interesting wine as a blend of different grapes (Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Picolit). Probably not worth the price. Drunk at Il Baretto at Carlton Baglioni in Milan paired best with a superb grilled spigola during a business dinner with NK and EA from SWC
