Pop and pour. Hmm. On the nose: wild strawberry, soft herbs. On the palate: slightly muddled red fruit. Much less oak influence than other btls, but seems faded. Will compare with another btl soon.

Initially showing mostly the ripe fruit of the vintage, this fleshed out gorgeously with air showing lovely spice and a certain dark earthy, solanaceous complexity that reminded me of tobacco plant. Very attractive overall balance of acid, fruit, complexity, and tannin. Unanimously the wine of the tasting for all of us.

Borderline over the hill with aged notes that might be pleasurable except for a saccharine core that I really didn't like.

Last bottle I had of this seemed like it had fallen of a cliff. … old and a bit tired. Not flawed though. Not the energetic wine I remember. All bought at the domaine and kept in a cold cellar. I don’t know… the 2016 had recently was spectacular

Perfect with the cheeses. Hundsruck is a top terroir and 2015 a top vintage and that is clear from the moment you unscrew the cork. What a bargain . Drink now, I see no reason to wait

Enjoyed at a family gathering. Very nice light to medium weight Pinot with bright acidity and light red cherry and earthy notes throughout. A but heftier and more refined than the 2011 vintage recently tasted. Most people really loved this.

Very stemmy, peppery, thin, a distant musk that didn’t blow off with a solid decant. Doesn’t at all match up with other notes. Presumed flawed.

Unscrew and pour. Was expecting a solid btl, but this was spectcular. On the nose: wild strawberry, strawberry leaf, soft bright coffee, mint. soft va...the aromatics are lovely and these descriptors don't do them justice. On the palate: fantastic acidity, savory cedar, roast eggplant, blackberry, and finely grained tannin on the softly spiced finish. Stunnin showing....so glad I have a bunch more.

Another great bottle of this wine. It opens with bacon on the nose , more of a syrah trait, but this is unmistakably PN opening up with floral and red notes. Perfect balance and concentration. Is this a once in a lifetime success? If it is not prices will -no doubt- creep up in the coming years. Fantastic value

Went through a case of this and it consistently outperforms. What a wine. Happy to have a case left

Screwcap. Ghostly pale in color, with lovely fresh red/blue fruits and just so many fascinating non-fruit elements. Reminds me of some of my best experiences with clean bottles of Enderle & Moll, although this wine has both more fruit and also more savory/animal intensity than one finds in E&M.

8th of 8 bottles opened with a small group of friends over an afternoon and evening, one or two glasses consumed with the balance enjoyed the next day. Screw cap closure. Nearly transparent light ruby yet packed with flavors and aromas. Nose is slightly smokey, very minerally and shows raspberry, strawberry and light maraschino cherry fruit with a hint of vanilla. More fruity than floral. Bright with acidity (running toward high). Nice structure. Long mineral finish that also shows the …

The light nose and profile belie a deep and powerful wine. Red fruit on the top with a slight candy streak and then marrow, earth and herbal tone. Balanced and carries a nice weight too. Needs time to place all of this in proper order and even o/n didn't quite get there.

Poured in a Grassl Cru glass and followed over the course of the afternoon/evening. Distinct and shifting aromatics of tilled soil, freshly butchered meat, raw leather, violets, and savory herbs jump out from the glass. While there is only subtle fruit on the nose, tart cherries and underripe raspberries are more noticeable on the palate intermingled with sous bois, leather, and baking spices. The supple, delicate tannic structure and vibrant acidity are already nicely integrated, and with more time in …

An excellent wine. Balanced, very long, extremely nice. Family Walter called it a „Knaller“. And that is exactly what it is. We ordered another case after the first bottle.

Daniela at the winery called it “a knaller” in German. Nothing to be added to this quote.
