at first sniff we got an earthiness almost truffle like nose, and it was definitely dry when it hit the palate. initial taste has hints of cherry, but not jammy. As the wine sat for another 30 minutes, it opened up nicely. Being a pinotfile, I liked this wine for the price. Composition: 82% Sangiovese,17% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Zinfandel Napa, Mendocino, Paso Robles, Solano and San Benito counties pH: 3.54 Oak Aging: 6 months in French and American oak
