Wine is excellent, and has life left in it. Somewhat golden. Floral, vanille, hints of pear and peach, bit of spice or toast. Entry is bright, fruity and lemony. Toasty lemon or boozy lemon in mid. Lots of flavor and long, becomes more lemon or preserved lemon for finish. Hints of peach and apricot throughout as well as hint brioche. Last bottle of a case. Good timing as the 12th bottle was a bit more tired than the 11th. Did not keep well in the fridge for day two. Fabulous day one though. Great persistance and that lovely subtle wood which has become a trademark for Lafouge

Fabulous, again delivers like a Meursault from a good producer. Great persistance and that lovely subtle wood which has become a trademark for Lafouge.

This is great now. Tastes like a much better appelation, say Meursault with the fat clean fruit. Great backbone and long cleansing finish.

Very good and fully open for business. Great year for whites, and thus, the balance is admirable. Still some butter and fat in the background but retains a fresh frontdoor. Day two it is a bit tired.

Has the 2008 and 2009 together. The 2008 is a better vintage. Clear crisp and with the typical toasted wood on the back palate for Lafouge. The 2009 had more tropical fruit on the nose and less acidity. Still a better showing fornthe 2009 now than 6 months ago where the baby fat was still dominating. Perhaps the 2009 will ease out with time, but the 2008 is great now!

Tasted blind, most people believed this to be a Meursault and some even mistook it for an overseas chardonnay. This bottle had been opened for 24 hours, which did not change it much. Big nose, with excellent depth and layers of white flowers (peones), stringent nose. On the palate, good concentration and cleansing mouthfeel. Very good acidity and the wine is indeed balanced on a high level. This is probably the best showing of Lafouge since a bottle of 1996, …

4-5 months since I had this the last time, so a welcome revisit. Stringent and good acidity as well as excellent minerality. It has the hallmarks of a much more expensive white Burgundy. I find this to be very good value-for-money.

This wine has not yet disappointed me. Crisp and clear, "to the point", balanced nicely wich gives it a comfortable mouthfeel. Very drinkable now.

As ususal a very nice bottle of whit Burgundy at a (rare) reasonable price. Easily beats a lot of "big" name whites that are much more expensive..... Crisp and clear, not as much oak as I believe I got a month ago. Super balance between acidity and a very delicate fruit. Tore right through a fried salmon with beurre blanc.

Tasted together with the 2007 which is sligthly fatter and more oaky. The 2008 is true to the vintage with less maturity and more pronounced acidity. Very fresh and with admirable balance typical for Lafouge.

Very fine and balanced wine. A great value-for-money when it comes to whit Burgundies. Outclasses several higher appellations by far.
