Hints of vanilla, eucalyptus and pepper along with slight oaky flavor. It’s a dry but delicious wine with a supple tannic structure. It is smooth and light to medium bodied. Would certainly get better with aging.

Heavy and extracted with noticeable oak. Still very enjoyable, but a big wine that reminds one a bit of Cabernet in terms of weight.

Nose: Cherry pie while riding a horse through the Olympic National Forest. Taste: Rain forest floor with radiant beams of sunshine, and Cherries! Light, easy, friendly, complex. Finish: same as above, long and easy Conclusion: Classic wonderful DeLoach PN. Clean, full, and rounded.

Lush and juicy with raspberries, mullberry, cherries, candied orange peel, earthy shitake mushroom, nutmeg, cola, lavender, bright white pepper, sweet tannins and bright acidity.

Single vineyard from the estate property, organic and Biodynamic. Red fruit and bacon fat aromas. Very silky palate, medium minus tannin. Bacon fat to the palate too, but a little though. A little lead pencil. 2010 was the first vintage after the replanting in 2006.

A great blend of all right estate clone Pinot noir varietals with pepper notes and red fruit and lush moderate tannins on the finish. Great wine with tremendous food pairing flexibility.

Lots of strawberry flavors but lacked some depth and texture.

Medium bodied and enjoyable but clearly on its way to being done. Still carries the delightful pinot funk on the nose.

Sorry this is my last bottle and wish I would have purchased more. Great body, nice bit of spice and great finish. Paired great with a grilled pork tenderloin with maple, peach, ancho chile glaze.

Nice! Medium-bodied and fruity, and mellower than the Pinots from Carneros that we often drink. Cherries and a dash of allspice made this an excellent choice for tonight!

fresh strawberries and dried cranberries on the nose and attack. good structure. Has a very slight bitterness late on the finish (my wife doesn't agree with me on that) that keeps me from putting this closer to the 90 pt range. definitely a good wine

French Bakery Sonoma Pinot Noir BYO Dinner (The French Bakery, Kane Concourse, Bay Harbor Islands, FL) : Deirdre & Richard's wine. Similar to the RRV, saccharine. Again Deirdre indicated it had lost something in transit. Perhaps the Bakery was a bit too warm for the wines?

Finally cracked into one of the three bottles sent by DeLoach as a wine club member. We were fans of the 2005 Green Valley Pinot Noir (long gone now) and were amazed to discover this offering, so young, was already so complex and truly delicious. The nose is spectacular and highly floral. On the palate are exceptionally balanced tasts of leather and earth, and a burst of red fruits of strawberry, cherry and raspberry. Just the lightest touch of minerality …
