Forrest Estate Gewürztraminer

This was pulled from the father-in-law's cellar thinking that it would be shot. What a surprise, it was a gorgeous drop. Most of the expected mineral fruity flavours had mellowed, but what was left was the developed creamy, more savoury sweet flavours (turkish delight, caramelesque). What was interesting was it had what seemed like a beautiful oak backbone holding the structure together. Reminded me of a Alsace style from a younger vintage and even aged Marlborough stickies.
