Castello del Poggio Smooth Red Provincia di Pavia IGT

OK...just finished a second bottle and this wine is indeed a slightly fizzy wine. The consistency suggests my previous note was wrong and this is intentionally fizzy. The wine is super basic, with notes of strawberries, rose water and cherry. Light and fun...but uninteresting and a bit on the sweet side (which kinda ruins the party for me...if it was a bit more dry, I'd consider a pretty solid pizza pair).

Scoring this wine based on what came out of the bottle (which I think was technically the product of a secondary ferment kicking off unintentionally). Your mileage may vary. That said, this was a slightly fizzy wine with notes of strawberries, rose water and cherry. Light and fun...reminds me of $2 bottles (of intentionally fizzy red) you can buy in grocery stores in and around Rome.
