Ripe red berry nose and some oak. The palate is ripe with a relatively big body. Smooth red fruit and too much oak makes for some drying tannins. $52 off the list at Zaytinya.

Dark, rustic, rugged, astringent.

Deep dark purple. Dense viscosity. Thanks to very low yields and a twelve month stay on new/old French oak, this wine is a great symphony of aromas and rich flavors. In the nose ripe plums and prunes, vanilla and some cocoa. On the palate concentrated plum, black currant and some fine tannins. A grape to remember! Certainly this variety will go a long way....

(Genka Wine Fair) Medium red color, good on the nose, mild but welcoming, vanilla with some small red fruits. Too aggressive in the mouth, dry tannins, faded fruit, alcohol too obvious, medium concentration, small to medium aftertaste. It feels extremely uneven..
