Glass stop. Dark ruby. Lots of animal notes when opened which need at least an hour to fade away but never really disappear. After an hour left opened, the wine exhibits barnyard, dark cherries, toast, sweetness and some floral nuances. Polished mouthfeel, not very dry with soft tannins and medium finish with morello cherry nuances. Very approachable/drinkable at a good maturity level to open it.

60% Zweigelt, 40% Blaufränkisch. More lift to the nose, floral notes, dark cherries, spices, woodsmoke. Ripe and concentrated fruit on the palate, mineral finish, nice length. 91-92+

Already too old - slightly dominant acidity and not enough body / finish.

Not that great ... nor that bad ... bottle may have been a bitte too old. Some acidity in the rather flat finish.

Chocolate cherry fruit restrained somewhat in the middle by oak and smoke and spice flavors. Nice soft texture.

A rich and sweetish nose with some meat, liquorice and toasty oak. Fullbodied palate with mid-level tannins, balancing acidity and again the rich, clean and juicy fruit. Raspberries, cherries and boysenberries with liquorice, herbs, oak and slight animality. A rather structured effort and quite "serious" for a Heinrich wine. A bit nondescript.

On the nose, some reduction at first. After time in the glass, the wine reveals youthful sweet red fruit aromas of red apple, cherry, bruised strawberry. Non-fruit aromas cola, black licorice and musk. On the palate the wine is dry and medium-bodied. Muted red fruits, cola, and licorice suggest this wine is more interesting on the nose at this stage. Alcohol is medium, acidity is juicy. None of the components seem very integrated right now. Mid-palate seems thin and the …

This is an opaque wine of deep ruby color with a shallow, lighter ruby rim. Viscosity is medium and the glass is stained by the wine. Medium plus intensity on the nose, the wine is youthful with black fruit aromas of macerated blackberry, wild cherry, madjool dates . Non fruits include black licorice, sweet pipe tobacco, and damp woodsmoke. Underlying organic earthiness. On the palate, the wine is medium plus body and dry with black plum skin, stewed black cherry, …

Charakteristik …
