Surprisingly, this wine is in good shape at 7 years of age. Tho shy on fruit, it is still vibrant and tastes like maybe a 3-year-old. A testimony to the staying power of high-acid whites.

Medium-light body with a tone of strawberry(?). Good choice for apéritif for its modest sweetness.

This is always fun and always and overachiever for the $13 I paid for it. Tonights btl, like those before it, showed lots of intense; concentrated grapefruit, lime and powdered rock. Pungent flavors! As, I've noted before this is dryer than most chardonnays and yet has so much more going than a much more linear Muscadet. Everyone should try this wine at least once. 90pts - 12% Alc.

Another great btl tonight. Dave brought it. I need to buy more of these as its one of the best QPR whites around.

Really, impressive unique white at its $13 price point! This is a really unique departure from my old favorites (Chablis/white Burgundy) with its blend of a few indigenousness Spanish grapes and a small amount of chardonnay (40% Parellada, 30% Macabeo, 20% Chardonnay and 10% Malvasia de Sitges). This has a grapefruity tartness but also a range of other flavors like orange peel, spice and nuts combined with an intense stoniness. There is body too even though its presented in a …

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 10/4/2014 Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC. (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC) : This is definitely an "Old World" style wine. To say the least, the flavors and aromas are very unique. There is plenty of fruit, but the overall taste impression leans toward a savory, earthy rustic style. Comes in at 12% alcohol with a very dry and crisp mouth feel. The flavors are hard to describe but kind of remind me of the taste …

Right wine, right meal. Calamari alla Gallega. This could be confused as great dry Riesling, maybe Chablis, whatever it is it is the perfect seafood wine. Love this stuff

Chalky and crisp with a citrus (orange/grapefruit/lime) but not in a forward sense, this an inward, reserved sort of wine, though great fun to drink and a killer bargain.

Bright yellow in color, this wine showed honeydew and nectarine on the nose. The mouth feel brought smooth, bright acidity and hints of citrus. The finish was vibrant with nice citrus and honeydew notes coming out again at the end. Purchased for $13US, this was a very pleasant drinking white shared with friends on a warm, late summer evening.

I like this a lot, even more than the 11 which was quite good. This is even stonier, more brisk with a bitter mineral finish and some melon qualities.

Macabao/Xarello/Parelleda, like Cava sparkling but this is still wine. Nice combination of bright fruit, seaside minerality, acidity, tart finish. Light seafood wine. Nice QPR.

Intriguing aroma of kiwi and sage. Clean flavors of white fruits, minerals with a bit of spritz. Slightly sweet pear flavored finish. Frisky and friendly with good balance, firm acids and clear structure. However, I find the sweetness makes the wine disjointed, and a bit cloying as time goes on. That's my one complaint on what is overall a very enjoyable wine Day 2: The sweetness is largely gone, as well as some of the vibrancy. Technically in better balance …

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! Now let me explain. It's warm outside, and in our house. This kind of warmth calls for a nice, light, and bright white wine. Sometimes all of the elements come together to offer an excellent wine experience - tonight is one of those times! This is a lovely wine that offers up aromas of fresh green apples and slightly unripe pear. Where this wine hits it out of the park is the bright …

The nose, unsurprisingly, is that of a Cava. Super clean. Hig acid. Fun white, but the price is over $15 here, not quite where I'd want it to be.

Drank with garlic-lime chicken. We don't typically drink whites but had this at a tasting and was a lighter white that we enjoyed so we bought a bottle. Paired well with the chicken dish I made. On the nose, I got mostly pear with some light citrus fruit. On the palate, we got some grapefruit and mineral, with a light to medium finish. Overall, for less than $10, a good bottle of easy drinking wine which as others have said, …

A blend of Parellada, Macabeo & a little Chardonnay. Apple pear, ginger, and lots of minerals. Crisp. Medium-short finish. Great with light- to medium-spiced chicken. Good value.

Consistent with first bottle. Would get more of this because it is very cleanly made, good value, it offers a nice change of pace for whites, and it goes well with food.
