Super delicious. Mature HHH fruit, maybe a touch flabby, drink soon and enjoy.

Wonderful! Secondary flavors emerging around a blue and black fruit core. Plenty of acid, barely present oak, excellent balance.

Actually was our first bottle of Washington state Cabernet, and we were very impressed. Drank immediately after opening. No need for decanting other than filtering out the sediment--wine did not change over the course of the hour and a half. My wife in particular liked the wine as it is rather soft. It is smooth and balanced. At this age, 10 years after bottling, it did not taste oaky as mentioned in other reviews. But, yes, I would have to …

Hazy notes from two days ago. This had a nice nose, and good varietal characteristics in the full bodied palate. But there seemed to be a bit of RS left in the wine and a fair amount of oak, which brought the marks down for me. It was too soft, with little tannins or structure. This is a characteristic I've seen in several WA Bordeaux blends recently. I don't know if this is my palate changing, but I'm finding this …

Champoux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is AWESOME! Unfortunately, the very heavy oak treatment in this offering masks the high quality fruit. Try this next to the 2008 Powers Champoux Vineyard Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, which is moderately oaky, to see just how heavily oaked the Januik is. I drank this Januik alongside a 2008 Tapteil Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon; both retail for about $40. I sought a comparative study in the distinctly unique terroir of these two exceptional vineyards, but that was not …

Great wine, but needs more time in the bottle. I found it took about twenty hours open in a decanter to 'some what' come together. Lush with toffee overtones, but still very red cherry tartness on the palate. Integrated, but tannins and acid still over power the fruit.

Wow, what a bouquet! After two-hour decant: Creme Brulee, vanilla, caramel apple. Like eating English toffee. Didn't find same delight on the palate. Light and somewhat lethargic. Some red fruits and tart cherries at first. Update: After 3+ hours this wine came together nicely. Didn't result in the lushness that I was hoping for but still provided more substance and weight than at first. Fact is that this needs more time in bottle which is true of most better made …

A friend and I tasted this at the winery on 3/20/11. It had a pleasant and appealing bouquet of cassis, black cherry, mocha, burnt toast, spice and bell pepper aromas. The palate was smooth, balanced and slightly green with flavors that followed the nose. 88+
