On day two more resolved and rounded out. Juicy and easy does it.

Rounded and upfront easy drinking on the front. Meaning fruit and heat to it. A little bit simple on the palate but just opened.

A bit disappointed. Still some fruit, little complexity, good mouthfeel. I have had better Rhones for the money.

Also tight right now, displaying some powerful black fruit to it. Andrew feels a bit shaken right now because the mid palate isn't quite filled in. And that is true. The pieces of the puzzle are all there just needs to fill in.

Solid and pleasant CdR, starts off with a bit of oak that reseeds fairly quickly to allow the gentle and ripe strawberry fruit to do its thing. Still, I miss CdR from about 15 to 20 years ago when it wasn't always so darn polished up.

Not particularly impressed with this one. Bramble fruit and some leather, a bit rustic, mostly unremarkable.

What a disappointment! I love the Gigondas from this producer, one of the best that I have had, but this, for the most part was a tart, simple, and a bit manufactured. The fruit never tasted like one from a quality producer. It was always a bit like the winemaker was trying to make it something that it wasn't. Like something very cheap. Unfortunately, that's all this is, is a very cheap and uninspired wine. It definitely improved from the …

Consistent with my previous TN but with a nice graphite element on the palate. Just a great CdR.

I love this producer. Their Sablet (Rouge & Blanc) really impressed me and this CdR is also a winner with a nose full of plum, cherry, salami, tabacco and leather. In the mouth the wine is very well balanced with nice red fruit, a creamy mouth feel and good acidity and tannins. I love the tabacco on the finish. A classic Piaugier trait.
