Cara Nord, Conca de Barbera, Negre

Deep garnet coloring. Medium+ nose intensity with tons of stewed black fruit, mostly plum and cherry. On the palate, acid is still going strong but complexity of fruit is low showing more of the same fruit as the nose. Some hints of sweet baking spice and fennel. Tannins are very soft and mellow with a nice long finish. I wish there was a bit more complexity in the palate. The alcohol feels a bit hot as well making this wine …

Going strong- no rush, vibrant purple, dense savoury and intense.

Spicy well balanced delight. Bought in bulk so delicious. Beautiful noise and excellent smooth finish.

Interesting blend. Sweet and savory on the nose: red fruits, plum and herbs. Red fruit and pepper on the palate and finish. CdP with black pepper syrah finish. Good value!

Garrut, the Mourvedre is there. Spicy, dense and textured.

Chocolate with a little cat poop on nose. More mocha on palate but not much else. Nice mouth coating finish. Not so interesting but not bad.

Spicy and bright but with a core of red fruit, finishes tense and tight. Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre.

dark brooding purple, roast, spicy, berry fruit, good length. robust and savoury. open an hour before hand and it becomes more harmonious and opens out.
