Nice cab franc. Very aromatic with a classic varietal profile, but the tannins are a bit rough. Should age very nicely.

It's interesting reading the other comments. I suppose that I'm new to Cab Franc. I enjoyed the wine very much. It does still have some tannins on the finish. But, the initial taste is very smooth and good. I guess I like this new style.

Big round woody vanilla tannin dominated modern styled cab franc. Yikes.

Memorial Day Weekend & Eyrie South Block Reserve Pinots (Willamette Valley, Oregon) : This is vastly superior to how it was showing last year. This offers really rich and candied aromas that almost smell creamy, with definitely strong flavors of vanilla. Those wood tannins from last year have smoothed out considerably. Still definitely not …

One of the best examples of a solid, young Cab Franc I have tasted. Raspberries and currants upon opening, decanted overnight which brought out a bit of graphite. Minimalistic on the typical CF leafy notes, which played well. Very nice tannic structure - expect this one to age very well. All in all, a superior example of his single grape varietal.

Memorial Day weekend tasting (Willamette Valley/Ribbon Ridge, Oregon) : Very creamy and lush smelling. Like vanilla flavored cream. The palate is thick and creamy in texture, with bitter, puckering (wood?) tannins building rapidly. The finish is thick and creamy again. It's nice, but certainly a bit modern for me, though not totally over the top.
