Riverbench Vineyard & Winery Chardonnay Estate

Golden yellow. Honeysuckle, pineapple and lightly grassy nose. Nicely buttery and creamy, followed by citrus and tropical fruits. A bit bitter at the end. Lots of nicely balanced acids. This is an excellent wine for the price and seems to have aged extremely well. Wish I had more of it!

Wine Dinner (Plymouth, MN) : Pale gold in color with aromas of oak and tropical fruit - pineapple, peach. PnP from refrigerator this wine showed well, with buttery oak as the wine warmed slightly. However, as it approached RT the oak overwhelmed the delicate fruit... drink this one cold!!! Not much fruit here, so don't wait too long to drink this one.

The wine is a bright, shimmering yellow color with a touch of glistening gold. The rich and inviting nose has apples, lemon curd, baking spices, pineapple, crushed stone, melons, flint, and just a hint of toasty oak. This has a medium body and tart, citrusy acidity. The exceptional palate has nice up front sweet, juicy apples and tart lemon zest followed by solid minerality and spice as well as a slowly building pineapple element. Light lemon yellow color; tart guava, green apple, pineapple nose; rich but poised, rounded, tart pineapple, ripe pear palate; medium finish (14.5% alcohol; 11 mos in French oak, 55% 1 year old; good pairing with white cream cheeses or lobster pot pie)

Nice crisp blend of grapefruit, honeysuckle and light oak. A modern well balanced chard.
