CARM (Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira) Douro Reserva

Nice maturity in this wine. While not earth shattering in complexity, it was a solid Douro, and will keep on drinking well. No rush, would hold another bottle until 2020 no sweat. No jammy fruit flavours despite a hot year. Well made wine with some varietal interest. Drink or hold to 2020 14.5% abv

Note after bottle open 30 minutes. Nose of dried sour cherries. Tastes dry and sour. Not a lot of complexity, and no density to suggest it's going to get better. Average.

Excellent vin, harmonieux, tannins assagis, pas mal de matière et d'amertume, pourrait vieillir quelques années. Un peu trop cher cependant, mais un beau produit.
