Beautiful and youthful wine. I have no record of purchasing or owning this wine, yet there it was calling my name tonight. Grand cru density; lemon cream, plus some tropical fruit carried on the shoulders of acid and saline soaked seashells. Great pairing with roast chicken. I can only hope more show up magically in my cellar.

Wow, this was not showing a trace of age. Color and nose were both incredibly fresh. However, there was a depth to it that can only be found with time - great showing. Steely, classic Chablis.

Drunk with an oyster lunch. Lovely wine. Golden in colour, with the marine qualities remarked upon in previous notes. Smooth, balanced and mature.

Opened this to be enjoyed alongside the 2010 (although this 2008 from from a 375, FWIW). This seems to be aging well, no signs of any pox or ambering. Been a while since I had any Michel from 2008 so nice to revisit this wine. Hard to pin down the aromatic but it reminds me of a mixing of mint and tropical fruit, along with a white flower. The fruit is a nice, balanced mix of yellow apple and lemon …

Opened last night. I really like the sea shell crossing with the lemon zest notes. The finish has a lovely drying aspect, with a long trail of marine aspects and lemon. I have one 375 left, will drink in 2014 or 2015, as the wine still drinks youthful and delicious. This is why I don't drink much CA chard anymore, as wines like this make those easy to forget.

Chardonnay Around the World (Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm, Sweden) : Pale yellow colour. With nice apple sweetness on the nose mixed with lemon on the palate with a taste of green unripe apples. Very youthful an dry. Perhap lacks some minerality. (Tasted double blind)

Drank outside in the back yard without food, on what is another warm OC night. I've drank 6 of these now since release, every time right on the money. I served it with an intentional chill to beat the heat tonight, and even with the wine warming up, it still shines. Flush with lemon peel, green apple, saline, sea shell and spice along with an hint of honey on the mid palate texture. Beautiful again.

Chablis Day 2 : 2008 Vaudesir Grand Cru—So much depth. The citrus and green apple is present but secondary to flinty earth. Great acidity. Very zingy on the finish.

Drank from a 375 that I had bought from Envoyer this week. Greg said he thought this wine would do great, he was right. Great balance, lots of sea shell, great fruit backing the wine and really delicious. Will need to pick up a few more and let them age. The more I drink Michel, the more I like him.
