An acceptable wine… At its price point, much better quality than its counterparts from the US or else!

Great QPR. Quite aromatic, with flavors of plum and cherry. Not a whole lot of structure, but easy drinking. The finish is short but not unpleasant. Works well with food, although it isn't as dry as you'd expect from an 85% cab wine.

Slight pepper undertone

Really average. To be used for parties where people are not picky about taste.

I liked this wine a lot more, before I started drinking better wines.

Terrible

How do you say "plonk" in Spanish? This is awful. It was sour with no structure. Someone brought a bottle to a New Year's party. I had to quietly disappear to the bathroom so I could pour it out and wash my glass.

We took a 1.5L bottle of this to a New Year's Eve gathering with friends so the tasting notes are abreviated and from memory. We decanted this into two carafes and allowed 50 minutes breathing time before returning it to the original bottle and partially re-corking for transport to the party. Nose: Modest fruit. Color: Deep garnet...nice color. Body: Medium Taste: Some modest fruit initially followed by very subtle structure. Nothing extraordinary. Finish: MOdest duration, no off-notes. Had at an event not bad for mass consumption.

From a 250ml bottle.Cassis and a little oak on the nose.Sweet,jammy and oaky palate lacking acidity.Dull but cheap.

Bought this for cooking. Not terrible for the price point. Very sweet, low acid with lots of oak chips. If you drink it on its own it is fine. Just don't drink it before a Brunello.
