A dark-colored, very fragrant wine that delivers excellent varietal character and smooth drinking at a price ($9) that I can live with. Quite fruity, with cherry dominating the palate, but not cloying or syrupy. Tannins still a bit rough around the edges, but soften with exposure to air. Not a lot of depth or complexity, but tasty and undemanding. Great bargain.
