Domaine A.-F. Gros Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Guettes

This is drinking so well now. Pure fruits, dried earth, and a touch of dried violets. Very meaty with some smoke. So delineated and charming. Pretty fantastic with black truffle Xiao Long Baos.

Agree with raphaelmilago. At or near peak. Long slow ox did not improve it. Better than many at this price point.

Definitely a bargain for the delivery this Sauvigny Les Beaune is peaking maturity ofering some beautiful aromas of dark fruits, smoke, meat followed by a thinner palate but elegant with fine tannins and stricking acidity.

Classic Burgundy nose. Great tertiary notes. In its drinking window, probably could use another two years in the bottle to hit its peak. Benefited from a decant. Paired with juicy Chinese dumplings and a Grand Cru from 5km away

Its impressive the offering on this bottle. Already on its peak with the sous bois aromas, ripe fruit. The palate has a delicious acidity, vibrant, perfectly balanced

Very nice fruit, spice, significant oak with hint of caramel, cola, cacao, long finish

Grand Cru Pinot (Harbour 220/L15 131 Macquarie Street) : Red berry tending to cherry, sweet spice, long over a certain savoury spiced stalkiness and slight umami elements. Almost zesty acidity, much of a muchness flavour wise to the nose though the stalky element is even more suppressed/controlled here. Tannins are fine and the fine has a touch of, not out of place, bitterness on the long finish. Quite nice.
