On the nose minerality and cherries and perhaps a little alcohol heat. On the palate reasonably balanced acidity and fruit, but very one-dimensional and a touch cloying on the finish. Slightly disappointed by this behind the M. Chapoutier name, and not a repeat buy for me.

There is a mineral backbone, but three aromatic dimensions predominate – strawberries verging on strawberry jam, a creamy, almost cream-cheese thing, and mandarin orange. Perfectly fine quaffer, but was a bit disappointed. Something about the beautiful, intense color made me expect more.

Light red. Nice aperitif.

A very red rosé. Not much to taste, but nice in the sun.

Sweet strawberry on the nose, but dry with raspberry on the palate. Simple. Light body but noticeable alcohol (14%). Pleasant drinking with brunch items, less so with fish/meat (accompanied a lunch tasting menu). Not our favourite entry level Tavel. A bit much for daytime drinking.
