In a "we will drink no wine before its time" vain, Maysara doesn't release their wines until they feel they are ready to go (be drunk) - so while this particular bottle is going on 10 plus years, its definitely not over the top. It was smooth, balanced and mature (in a good way). Unfortunately (and you knew it was coming) what this bottle had in the way of smoothness it lacked in terms of the "etherials" that make a …

Smells a little bit like brett and VA. But its been under that screw cap for a long time. Opening up it definitely has some Brett to it. Bad aid and medicinal character.

This wine has aged well, very fruit forward with great nose and after taste.

A lot of fruit still on this one, seems to be aging well. A little less subtle than some higher end OR Pinots.

Delicious. Rich, bold, and a favorite. Had both as evening sipper and with pasta.

Med ruby. Certified Biodynamic. Med (+) red cherry, stewed black plum, earth, sweet baking spices, and more than a touch of VA. Dry, but with nice ripe fruit, med acidity, med tannins and med (+) alcohol. Med body, supple mouthfeel, with med (+) flavor intensity and length. Drinking well now, but not likely to improve with further aging. Good QPR.

Either I've gotten over my initial revulsion at these turning stewed or this one was better, but it didn't come across as oxidized. Still very ripe for sure, but with a little more elegance. Tons of raspberry fruit oozing from it. Moderate acidity. Definitely more drinkable than the prior three.

Elegant showing from the father of biodynamic winemaking in the Willamette Valley. Pleasant earthy aromas with cherries and dark fruits leads to a palate of peppery, dark-fruited goodness. Popped and poured, but this gem needs 35 minutes of airtime before it starts showing some regal finesse and will steadily improve to two hours post opening. Fairly light-bodied - I expected a little more. Mild to medium intensity, well-balanced finish that unfortunately ends too quickly. Tasted over many hours and eventually …

The last three bottles of this wine have been thoroughly stewed, overripe and barely recognizable as Pinot. One, sure. Even two. But after it happened last time, I almost immediately opened another for comparison and same thing. Evidently it's just done. A friend reported a similar experience. Very disappointing.

Silky and plush full body. Loaded with bright, rich, slightly sour cherry. Has the solid acidity and liveliness of a New Zealand Pinot. Nice earthy finish. This bottling turned me on to this producer many years ago, and it's still fantastic.

Translucent medium ruby crimson with a nose of minerals, bright raspberry and red cherry. On the palate it is medium bodied with moderate tannin and medium+ acidity. Flavors include the red fruit in the nose along with some vanilla, baking spice and wet stones. Finish has mostly vanilla and cherry and is quite long. 13.7% ABV is in balance with the wine overall. Solid QPR and reasonable life still ahead given the acidity.

Drinking really well right now. We've had the 2006 & 2009 Jamsheed in the past and this one is on par, although I slightly preferred the '09 which is surprising since '08 was suppose to be a much better vintage for the McMinnville area. But I suppose it is a function of when each bottle was consumed. The 2008 has notes of red raspberry and a touch of barnyard funk on the finish. Great balance and acidity for a pinot …

this wine has perserved it's young fruitness due to its screw cap closure while allowing the flavors to integrate. The nose is intense dark fruit, blackberries. Palate hits you with smooth, rich dark fruit with balance earth and a hint of spice. Very smooth finish, pleasant lingering aftertaste, red and black currant. Enjoy with or without food. Nice pure Oregon pinot which are generally expensive, at $25 this is a value wine.

Fine, but pretty thin berry fruits, fine oak. Pure, smooth, balanced, proportioned, but substance is only medium, lacks depth and excitement. Pricey for the value, expected more.

This wine displays a ruby garnet color. The bouquet is fresh raspberries, with tints of pomegranate, bitter sweet cocoa and smoky aromatics. It has rounding tannins in the mouth as well as red cherries that linger with a white pepper spice at the finish.

This was a nice qpr and paired well with grilled chicken breasts. Red and black fruit on nose and palate, with a touch of herbal on the palate as well. This is in a good place right now.

This Wine Failed on many fronts for my taste. Now please realize, this is my taste, and not a reflection on anyone. First and most importantly, it had a Bitter aftertaste, and I don't buy repeat Wines that are Bitter. My suggestion is; it could be used to make Salad Dressing or etc. Now to be fair, I will buy it one more time in case it was a bad bottle. P.S. I am a Big Fan of Oregon Willamette …

Dark garnet center with ruby red rim. The straightforward nose provides red raspberry and cherry with a touch of cranberry. The palate is red fruited with red raspberry, cherry, cranberry, and a touch of horseradish. This light-bodied wine seems thin on the mid palate, but on day 2, there is more depth to the fruit. The acidity is vibrant and matches the red fruit well. The finish is moderate. Overall, I appreciate the delicate nature of this wine, but I …

Good bright color. The nose shows raspberry, earth, underbrush and a hint of flowers. This is medium bodied on the palate, and it is round and balance with good fruit and nice acidity. The finish is moderate, with rustic tannins.

Unscrewed and poured. Medium to medium-plus purple/ruby, clear throughout. Initially, aromas of simple red fruits, subtle spice, and stink from fairly minor reduction. After extended aeration, the reduction seemingly diminishes into a complimentary role and works well with more readily apparent notes of spicy blackberry, herbaceous raspberry, green vegetal, and autumnal decay. Medium body. On the palate, the fruit is tart, expressive and shows an abundance of fresh cherries, strawberries, and tomato flavors along with additional vegetal notes and even …

This time I can spare a lot of words, because this wine appeared to be rather easily accessible, well made, very clean and very fruitful. Simply good, however not really highly complex. But I did not have any problems with this limited sophistication. The fruit impression was so intoxicating and “soul supporting”. I never felt any need for more. Compared to the other Oregon Pinot I had so far on the blog once more a totally different style of Pinot …
