So much Big, Rich, Bold fruit. The oak is mellowing a bit. This has many years left to evolve.

Glad I have two more of these, because this one is SINGING tonight. I am almost 100% certain that I had the chance to taste this one not too long ago and thought it was kind of in a strange place. This one is clearly in the start of the drink window tonight! Blackberry, black licorice, hint of sweeter cocoa on the middle. Dusty tannin on the finish with Rutherford dust. 45 to 60 second finish. Tremendous, rich style Napa cab - well made, full of Rutherford dust via cocoa powder, rich mouthfeel. Young, but worth trying for the zealous Cab lover (like my wife)

Brasswood - Vintner's Vanguard (Saint Helena) : GIII fruit, but a fairly walk-in-the-park version of the site. A bit of an imbalance between the overt fruitiness and whacky acid. The bottom of the barrel in terms of the GIII site. "It was ok," is the summation of this wine for me. Everyone in our group collectively stated, “It’s ok I guess; are we done?” 86-88 points depending on how nice you're feeling.
