Bieler Pere & Fils, Sabine Rose, Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence

A nice pale pink. Faint whiff of strawberry and sweet cherries. Mostly strawberries on the palate, which is fuller than I expected. A bit of an herbal quality on the finish. Simple, but nice sipper.

Crisp and clean. Some notes of soy and Asian spices, hints of strawberry, a nice way to open things up and clean the palate.

I love this wine. So sad this is the last bottle because it is the perfect summer rose.

Pale coral color. Nose is pretty much absent. While it is fairly dry (in marked contrast to last night's rosé), the palate seems washed out, somewhat devoid of any character.

Very pale pink color with a very spice laden nose, this easy sipping wine is a pleasure to drink on a warm early summer evening. There are soft notes of strawberry, rhubarb, pie crust, coriander and mango of all things. The wine actually improved over night as I was told it would. Thanks to Dan Posner who highly recommended this wine. Btw - it's a killer qpr at $99 a case. I may have to go back for more.

Nice rose. Enjoyable, v nice for a casual spring / summer evening.

This is a negotian project made at a friend's winery. Cotex d'aix (cote o-axe) is much more of a red wine area apperently. They were looking for a classic profile although for the US market they broaden the mid palate and then give the larger fruit. Difference betwen saignee and other. They feel Pinot, or more delicate, lighter color red grape make it work. But for beefier varietals they feel that saignee strips the finese out. Too dark, picks up …
