Fratelli Brovia Barbera d'Alba Sorì del Drago

Liked this much more than previous bottle. Maybe it was flawed, or time has worked its magic. This had slightly tart red cherry on top of light oak, minimal tannin and nice spice for a well-rounded wine. A bit richer and heavier than some barbera, it went very well with salmon.

A little unbalanced -- there is a very strong overtone of sour cherry that lingers even after decanting. Otherwise, it is a fine barbera. It is too strongly cherry for drinking alone; pair it with something that complements that tartness of the wine.

Nose of black fruit, hint of dust, Cèpes de Bordeaux... very fruity cherries, red berries, ripe tannins, nice lenght
