I rate this high as it has a both a big fruit flavor as well as the acidity to cleanse the palette. Austere fruit followed by the heat of the alcohol. Has an intensity of fruit without being fruit forward.

Popped (unscrewed) and poured. Opens up in the style of a Marquis shiraz....big and hugely thick. With a little air, it thins out a bit, and for me becomes more approachable than some of the full-on Shiraz coming out of Australia these days.
