Suave and elegant with a lovely nose and nuanced palate. A pleasure to drink with a prime rib dinner at Tam O'Shanter.

Nice Merlot bouquet, dark color, medium body, good tannins slightly coarse, lot of fruit as the merlot and cabernet compete for each sip, probably has gone about as far as it can go, nice complexity but possibly a bit more depth, would drink again, 2011 was not a great vintage but check out NYT article by EA about the joys of "difficult" vintages, as wise Frenchwoman told us - there are no bad vintages in Bordeaux only difficult ones, drank …

Classic aromas of graphite, spice and cassis, bone dry on the palate with a pleasing long, mineral tinged finish. Very nicely done. No rush.

Purple hue that opens with bay leaf, violet and eucalyptus aromas. Black cherry, blueberry and earthy leather flavors dominate the palate while cedar and cola linger on the lengthy finish. Loved how it enhanced the rosemary lamb loin chops.

Nose of cedar, red fruit, leather. Cherry layers and wet stones but it's a bit short on palate interest. Burly tannins, leather, and black oak with some black plum fruit mixed in.

Agree with my previous note, a bit heavy, balanced, lots of flavor, could use a bit more acid or tannin, drank easily, good fruit, light alcohol, drank with steak, will drink again as I have more bottles.

No detailed notes but it was wonderful with a steak. Seems to be fleshed out a bit and nicely put together.

Nose is a bit soft, with red plum, red leather, and wet soil. Quick hit of red fruit - plum and cherry - fades quickly into earth and minerals with a distinct quartz note throughout. Long leather tannins make their presence known then fade into gravel and lingering dry red fruit, though it all seems a touch dilute.

2nd note (9/19): Quite dark with lots of sediment. Nose and flavors indicate a certain component of cedar. Seems to lack the fruit it initially had, plus tannins are more prominent. Still has some time to go. 1st note: Very nice Pessac-Leognan suitable for current drinking. Very American in style with plenty of fruit, soft acids and a discernible complement of oak. Tasty but not overwhelming.

Nice bouquet, lots of flavor, heavy with no oomph, drinks easily and low alcohol but not very exciting, needs more acid, drank with magret of duck, will drink again as I have a few more bottles,my first 2011 Bordeaux and I hope they get better .

Produced from a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, the wine opens with smoke, caramel, coffee and jammy black cherry notes. Round, supple and fresh, this forward wine finishes with chocolate, coffee and cherry. 88-90 Pts
