Chateau Pierrail, Bordeaux Superieur

Great deep, dark color, with medium legs. One hour decant. Nose is predominately slate, spice and casis. The slate and spice carry through to the palate. Not much fruit, but that's not an issue as the tanins, minerality and acid offer a harmoniously agreeable framework for this medium bodied wine. The finish is suprisingly enjoyable hitting on a couple different notes. The slightest touch of unresolved tart bitterness at the very end that grows as the wine decants. I feel …
