Aged great. Incredible bottle

Opened and poured, this did not show well. The monolithic aromatics feature unappealing brett an dirt elements that that combine with black fruits. The color is a dark ruby to almost black. The medium weight palate fails to improve on the showing of the aromatics. This is not likely to benefit from additional bottle age.

Martin Scott Portfolio Tasting 2008 (East Side of Central Park, NYC) : 14 months in barriques, decanted before serving at the tasting. Nose is a bit light, but very pretty. Palate: simple but good.

FResh and full of black cherry fruit, round, balanced tannins. Great with grilled meat.
