No change in the past 4 months when I described this wine as delivering “a classic Pouilly Fumé profile. More of a shade of a green tinge on the rim than anything else. Gooseberry, mineral, smoke and limestone complete the canvas. No boxwood to speak of. While not sharp, the mouthfeel is crisp with a sturdy acidic frame carrying the fruit from attack to finish.” 13% alc. With crab dip. Recommended.

Fairly strong grass, pine and lemon. Good acidity and minerality. Drink now.

Despite the vintage, this still delivers a classic Pouilly Fumé profile. More of a shade of a green tinge on the rim than anything else. Gooseberry, mineral, smoke and limestone complete the canvas. No boxwood to speak of. While not sharp, the mouthfeel is crisp with a sturdy acidic frame carrying the fruit from attack to finish. 13% alc. With shrimp and biscuits. Recommended.

Tasted blind. Clear, deep lemon in color, with some golden hues. The nose is clean, with developed aromas of sour apples, lemon custard, butter, burnt match, and some oak. The palate is dry, with medium acidity, medium alcohol (13%) and a crisp, stony minerality on the medium (+) finish. It is light to medium-bodied with medium (+) flavor intensity and a smooth mouthfeel. It could have been a Mondavi Fume' Blanc but ultimately the minerality and earthy notes should have …

Solid Sauvignon Blanc. A bit short of acid for my taste but still quite solid.

Mouthcoating, and with the flavor of a lemon tart, though quite dry. Really nice.

Shared this with a friend. A great value for under $20 from the Loire. It features lovely sandstone and shale-like minerality. It is also a little more flamboyant than some, more mouth-coating than piercing. Lots of structure, great texture...totally agreeable.

Light-to-medium gold in color, this wine shows an immediately expressive, intense nose, with pear, smoke, citrus and wet stone aromas. Light-to-medium-bodied and fresh on the palate, with citrus and mineral flavors. The middle is solid and the lengthy finish is crisp. This is yet another excellent offering from Kermit Lynch. Consume it as an apéritif or with light fare such as baked or grilled sea bass. It should be enjoyable for 2-3 more years, but do not cellar it with …

A touch on the acidic side of balanced. Firm yellow peach, gooseberries and tomatillo mousse. A nice alternative to California oak havens.
