Don’t think I’ve ever really been disappointed with this wine, and some were very good, but often I’ve thought it should have been better for the price. That said, this is a good wine, past prime, a bit short on the back of the palate and finish. Fruit is tertiary, tannins fully integrated. A bit softer on d2, but no big change. Drink now.

Stunning wine in a perfect spot at ten years of age. Okaneaux blend with the addition of Syrah. Aged 15 months in French oak. Aromas explode from the glass and are almost overwhelming with powerful notes of menthol, leather, tobacco leaf and a medley of blue and black berries. In the mouth this wine is full and balanced with chewy tannins, persistent acids and lovely soft alcohol. An attack of leather and blackberry evolves to a long, mint, leather and …

This is a solid wine with plenty of life left. Well balanced with a medium finish. Loads of fruit on the palette but not sweet. Very enjoyable.

Popped a magum of this. Nice but nothing special about this, especially the price. 44 merlot, 28 syrah, 14 cabernet franc, and 14 cabernet sauvignon. Dry black fruit, cigar humidor, pepper spice, leather.

Tasted the 2014 quatrain library magnum at Mission Hill with B and Ineke. Good wine, not sure it's worth the price tag. We tasted the 2020 meritage reserve (ok, a bit young and thin), the 2020 jagged rock Syrah terroir (we all thought it was excellent, and the best today ) and the 2019 prospectus legacy which was ok but also not worth the $. The Syrah was our favourite followed by the quatrain

Merlot dominant: 40% Merlot / 20% each: Syrah - Cabernet Sauvignon - Cabernet Franc. The nose comes off as leathery and smoky right form the start. Then there is some bitter coffee bean on the palate with oaky and cedary notes. The finish is dusty and oaky. As if opens further it develops some dried blackberry and cassis on the mid-palate; there's a sort-of smoothness on that mid-palate, but the finish is smoky and oaky and that never seems to …

A little disappointing given price. Had to really search to find what this wine offered. Over two days better on day two, but still not forthcoming in nuance.

This is drinking extremely well right now. Brambles, dark cherries and blackberries w a subtle cedar thing. Excellent balance in the mouth, with more cedar and leather over the fruit. Lovely tannins good finish.

Nice quality wine with a good tannic structure, depth and overall complexity. The tannins are young but smooth enough to enjoy the wine in the next few months. Even though I liked the wine, I believe this cuvée is overpriced for what it delivers...let's also keep in mind that I'm not a fan of blending Syrah with Cabernet...

I really smell that cab franc hint and caramel merlot. taste is deep and lush with a good acidic backbone to help balance it out.
